OSHA schedules meeting of Maritime Advisory Committee on
Occupational Safety and Health on May 24MACOSH Shipyard and Longshoring Workgroups will meet May 23
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration will hold a meeting of the Maritime Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health on Wednesday, May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT. The full committee will meet in person, while the public is invited to participate in the full committee meeting in person or online.
The meeting will include new member introductions, reports from the Shipyard and Longshoring Workgroups, and updates from OSHA’s Office of the Assistant Secretary, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs and Office of Maritime and Agriculture, and the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs.
To attend the meeting, please register on the MACOSH webpage. Once registered, online attendees will receive a link for remote meeting access and in-person attendees will receive directions for participation. In-person attendance by the public is limited to 25 people.
Submit comments and requests to speak to the Federal eRulemaking Portal, Docket Number OSHA-2022-0011, by May 16. Be sure to include the docket number on all submissions. Read the Federal Register notice for submission details.
The MACOSH Shipyard and Longshoring Workgroups will meet on Tuesday, May 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT. The public may attend the workgroup meetings in person or online, but participation will be in listen-only mode. Please register on the MACOSH webpage to attend the MACOSH Longshoring Workgroup meeting and the MACOSH Shipyard Workgroup meeting.
MACOSH advises the Secretary of Labor in formulating maritime industry standards and matters pertaining to the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act related to the maritime industry.
